He is our Engineer—the one who physically “wired” the Broadcast Studio together. Here he is putting together PBN’s “Silent Sense”—a device that would call Pat & Claudia on their cell phones, anywhere in the U.S., if the broadcast went silent.");
g_ImageTable[g_imax++] = new Array ("slideshow/01/02.jpg", "An early 2000, shot of Pat & Claudia in the PBN studio. A map of the world is behind them with red dots placed on each country from which we have received a letter or e-mail. Pat’s beard is a request of Claudia’s. She wants it on him, so he wears it.");
g_ImageTable[g_imax++] = new Array ("slideshow/01/03.jpg", "In 2000, Sandy McConnell was still our man that handled our computer problems and our web pages. Sandy was there in the beginning with Pat & Claudia. He saw the dream of PBN develop, and was instrumental in putting the computer system together to broadcast on the Internet. He also was our first Webmaster. Sandy was not only Pat & Claudia’s dear friend, but he also believed deeply in the Mission of PBN, donating his time and money so others could hear the Intimate Worship broadcasting from PBN.");
g_ImageTable[g_imax++] = new Array ("slideshow/01/04.jpg", "Ed Love (pictured here with his wife Joyce). It was an absolute Miracle that brought Ed our way during this time. Ed came to visit Pat and Claudia during the fall of 1999. As he sat in Pat’s chair at the desk with the production equipment behind him and computers in front of him, Ed was near to tears as he told Pat & Claudia that this was the fulfillment of a vision God had given him over 20 years previously. Ed’s wisdom and advice was sent from God.");
g_ImageTable[g_imax++] = new Array ("slideshow/01/05.jpg", "It was in 1999 that we met Greg Hartwig. Greg has been an invaluable asset to PBN and our continuing struggle with the Internet. When Sandy’s business made him too busy to continue helping PBN, Greg was there to offer his advice and expertise (he soon became the Webmaster that took over for Sandy). Greg is also the Webmaster for Zola Levitt Ministries. As many of you know, Claudia and Pat produce all of Zola Levitt’s Internet video. Greg has become a very close and dear friend of Pat & Claudia’s.");
g_ImageTable[g_imax++] = new Array ("slideshow/01/06.jpg", "We were growing in 2000. Our Studio is small and put to maximum use. Claudia and Pat will readily tell you that God put them together—not only as husband and wife as well as best friends, but also as a close team. You would have to work well together to be as close as they are in the same office 16 hours a day. This is Claudia’s side of the studio. During those days, she did all the web design on the large computer. The two computers to the right contained the programming for WorshipRadio.com. The computer in the foreground was where she answered e-mail from around the world.");
g_ImageTable[g_imax++] = new Array ("slideshow/01/07.jpg", "Here is another view of Claudia’s work area, where you can see some of the equipment she used to produce “Zola Levitt Presents” on the Internet, as well as other audio and video programming from the programmers of WorshipRadio.com. Her main ‘work’ computer is the one to the right.");
g_ImageTable[g_imax++] = new Array ("slideshow/01/08.jpg", "This was a view from Claudia’s chair, looking over into Pat’s work area. In the foreground was the computer he used to preview the stories for “The Story of Encouragement”. In the background was the broadcast/production console where “Praise Until Dawn” and the music of PBN was produced. To the lower left on the wall was where the ISDN Internet connection for Internet Broadcasting, and where the “Broadcast Loop” came in for sending PBN’s signal to the satellite uplink in Hurst, TX.");
g_ImageTable[g_imax++] = new Array ("slideshow/01/09.jpg", "An early 2000 look at the “Broadcast” side (Pat’s side) of the studio. Notice the reel-to-reels to the lower left and upper right. Yes, we still used them then, mainly for the playback of the music which played under Pat’s voice when he spoke on the air. The shelves are filled with Pat’s hand-picked CD’s containing the music of PBN.");
g_ImageTable[g_imax++] = new Array ("slideshow/01/10.jpg", "Pat’s desk and computer, from where he sends “The Story of Encouragement,” digitally enhances the music of PBN, and answers all his e-mail. His desk is always filled with papers, programming and CD’s. Claudia’s desk and computers can be seen in the background.");
g_ImageTable[g_imax++] = new Array ("slideshow/01/11.jpg", "This was the “Brain Center” of PBN and WorshipRadio.com. This area was to the left of Pat’s Broadcast Console. From here, all our programming went out to the satellite uplink site we used, and also out to the Internet. The mixer on the floor coordinated all the signals. The black box on the wall was an ISDN router, which took the information from all our computers and distributed it to the Internet. This was before we switched to a simpler DSL Internet connection.");
g_ImageTable[g_imax++] = new Array ("slideshow/01/12.jpg", "A closer look at the Panasonic Mixer on the floor, which was in the “Brain Center”. Mike knew and installed every wire. Mike was and continues to be a real blessing from God.");
g_ImageTable[g_imax++] = new Array ("slideshow/01/13.jpg", "For 3-1/2 years Praise Broadcasting Network was one of the 24-hour Radio Channels on the Sky Angel satellite network. Here is our little 18-inch dish, on which we received and monitored the Sky Angel signal. This was exactly like the dish listeners would use to receive PBN 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via Sky Angel from anywhere in the continental United States.");

PBN is highlighted at the top, playing “Best of Praise and Worship”. For 3-1/2 years, we were blessed to be on Channel #9766, twenty-four hours a day.");

The smaller white dish is a KU Band dish, which pulled in a program live by satellite from Oklahoma, which we aired for awhile on PBN. The larger mesh dish was a C Band dish, upon which we received USA Radio Network News and the “Point of View” program, which were rebroadcast over PBN.");
g_ImageTable[g_imax++] = new Array ("slideshow/01/17.jpg", "When we get busy with the work of PBN/WRN, it is easy to lose focus of the reason why our Father gave us this Mission. This Map, on the wall beside Pat’s broadcast console, contains red dots stuck on countries and cities all over the world from where we have heard from Listeners and Readers. Looking at this map and all the red dots helps us to remember and refocus on the purpose of the God-given Mission of PBN and WorshipRadio.com.");

In those days, installing new software and hardware could be a major event! Things weren’t as easy then as they (usually) are now. Notice all the CD’s around Pat’s desk? Previewing and carefully selecting the broadcast music is a very important part of PBN and WRN.");
g_ImageTable[g_imax++] = new Array ("slideshow/01/24.jpg", "This was Sandy at his office in Fort Worth, Texas. It was from here that he talked with Claudia, giving advice when she called about some Internet problem. As the Chief Engineer, he is responsible for making sure the connections to the satellites, to the Internet, and of course, the connections to Pat’s broadcast console are all functioning properly. Here he is installing a “Silent Sense Alarm” on PBN and WRN. If the broadcast goes silent for any reason, this device will call Pat and Claudia on their cell phones anywhere in the United States and alert them. They immediately go into action to get the signal back ‘On the Air’ so our listeners won’t have to miss any of the Beautiful Intimate Music we play on PBN.");

Mike is a big man—his nickname is “Big Mike.” It is not always easy, but he always manages to complete his work. Here he is installing the “Silent Sense Alarm” to WorshipRadio.com on Claudia’s side of the studio. Mike'’s dream and prayer is to someday have “ROOM”.
