The Good – And The Not So Good
Pat, Ericka and our grandson Kaleb finally made it to our home here in NC. It was a

19 hour trip which they drove straight through. They hate stopping. We were thrilled when they arrived at 1am Sunday morning. They brought with them presents, happiness, love… and the FLU!!!
Yep, Kaleb had thrown up on the way, in Birmingham. They thought it was just car sickness, but yesterday about noon Ericka came down with it.

Last night about 2am Patrick quickly headed to the bathroom, burying his head in the toilet… 4 times.
We are all praying Little Possum doesn’t come down with it. So far, so good.
Claudia and I have had flu shots long enough ago to have activated and given a spec of protection. We are bathed in prayer, as well. I think I would rather undergo most anything, than being sick to my stomach and throwing up. YUUUUUUK!!!
It seems to be the 24 hour type, so Patrick should be up and doing better tonight.
We were going to see the Tanglewood Lights tonight, a light display that is dazzling

The Lights at Tanglewood - A Christmas Tradition
for the kids. It is a tradition for us, but looks like we may have to put that off a day until Patrick gets to feeling better.
So, please be in prayer for us all.

Oh, Kaleb and Ericka are doing fine now. Both are up, eating and active.
We pray health for each of you.
MERRY CHRISTMAS.
No hesitation saying that, here

Good to read this piece about your family and Christmas. Reading your words about your son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren, I am reminded of our trip to Bakersfield, CA to be with siblings and family. Life is so disjointed during these times, with children living such great distances away, that it is a struggle to be together. Thank you for again sharing with us. It’s been awhile since I responded to a blog, but just be aware that I do read them when I can. As I write this Diane and I are sitting at our computers, with PBN music playing, and anticipating the coming of the new year! May God richly bless you and Claudia throughout 2010!
