It is interesting watching everything that is going on in the world, and in this government. This administration is trying to quickly push things through Congress in this first year, knowing that the memory of the American people is very short. If they can get it all done in this first year, the election in 2012 is in the bag.

If you don’t know what is being pushed through Congress, you better get up to speed quickly. Cap and Tax (Trade) has already passed the House, and it is headed to the Senate. It is a noble idea… saving the planet. But, the argument is: Does the planet really need saving? 

It comes down to, it is US, the Lower and Middle class that is going to bear the burden financially for all that is planned. Our whole lives will be regulated: how much electricity we use, what temperature we cool and heat our homes, the amount of gasoline we use, the miles we drive, the type of cars we drive, and the list goes on. 

The electric companies will be taxed on the amount of electricity produced. Businesses will be taxed on the amount of electricity and gas they use. They will HAVE to pass the cost on to the consumer: YOU and ME. Because of the costs, jobs will be lost.

It is conservatively estimated this will cost $175 a year PER individual. Multiply that times the members of your family. THAT is CONSERVATIVE figures. You can bet it will be 3 or 4 times that amount, at least.

If the Senate passes it, Barack WILL sign it, for HE is the one pushing it to be passed quickly.

I don’t know about you, but Claudia and I don’t have that money just sitting around to pay what the Liberals say will save the planet.

It is too late to contact your Representative. It has already passed the House. It is time to contact your Senator. Let your voice be heard, pro or con.

Then, having done all we can, Rest and Trust our Father in Heaven. 

We know very tough times are coming. This is the training ground. 

HALLELUJAH!!! Come Lord, Jesus!!!

THEN, we get Cap and Trade HEAVENLY STYLE: New Caps (crowns), and we trade our earthly body for our Heavenly body. That is CAP AND TRADE Heavenly Style!!!

I got the following this morning from Casey. I knew you would want to read it.

Please keep both he and Connie in your prayers. This work is soooooo important. It is FRONT LINE for the Gospel.

Within minutes of showing up at 34th and Broadway,  a manwalks up to me with an extra serious look on his face, and said, “Sir, I need God!” We grabbed each others shoulders, and instantly prayed, and asked JESUS to come to his rescue. Then, we talked awhile and he promised to come see me again very soon and let me know how it was going.

Within minutes a lady walks up, and said, “Please pray for me. I need help”. After praying, she left with smiles and tears. JESUS really touched her, and He gave her major hope that it is all going to be ok.

This continued for about an hour, person after person. Then the Lord led me to preach about the goodness of the Lord, and we need to team up with God, through His Son, JESUS.

Bless the Lord, and thanks for your prayers. O JESUS, You are wonderfully faithful.

You need to understand, Casey is not a NUT. He is a straight arrow, a former undercover policeman, that has had a tremendous heart transformation. His love for Jesus has not abated in the 20 years I have known him.

I was humbled, as I read the following account from Casey, as he and his friends worshipped while listening to a program I was hosting LIVE by satellite.

What follows are his words and his story:

Praise the Lord, and I could feel the ZEAL arise the closer I got to NYC. Wow, isn’t it a privilege to be a “fisher of men”. Pat, I forgot to tell you this story while visiting you. 
It was a fantastic event that happened in the mid 80’s. 

Remember when I said that I and some brothers took your Praise in the Night program with us in the field to pray, via ghetto blaster? One day while we were praising and praying out in this field, this sesna plane started to circle us super low to the ground. At first, we just ignored it, but then it caught our attention because it was circling so low to us. Finally, it flew away. 

About 20 minutes later, at the dead end road that connected to the field, fire trucks with their sirens came to the edge of the field with a load of police cars. Lights lit, flashing, and blaring with sirens, now filled the field. The police came running at us, and asked us where the fire was! 

What we found out was , the pilot from the sesna plane that circled us called the fire department, and said that he saw a huge fire in the field where we were at. What the pilot saw was shekinah glory fire all around us while we were praising the Lord to your music! 

I and the other brothers ended up sharing Jesus with all the firemen and the police! and told them that it was fire from heaven that the pilot saw. 

This happened in the mid 80’s and as I was driving to New Jersey from your home, I told Larry Duman by cell phone (he lives in Colorado), that we had spent a few days in your home. He was thrilled because he was one of the brothers who was in the field when the shekinah fell on us. He reminded me of the story, and I thought you’d be blessed by it too! 

How God uses your ministry to bring the gospel in many beautiful ways, like fire from heaven! Sure love you, Pat. Thanks for loving Jesus so much.

Some of you noticed Claudia and I were not On The Air LIVE on Friday. We tried, but just couldn’t.

Wednesday night we had a very heavy rain storm in Asheboro. I LOVE the rain, and I even went up to my attic and walked around, listening to the sound of it hitting our roof. But, little did I know, our studios and offices were in the process of being flooded.

When Claudia and I arrived at the studios Thursday afternoon, the carpets were soaked. Claudia got on the phone to the owner of the building while I put Praise Until Dawn On The Air. As I moved around in my chair, you could see and hear the “squish squish squish” of the water in the carpet. We kept praying we would not be electrocuted from the equipment which sat on the wet floor.

The owner of the building brought in industrial fans to dry the carpets, in hopes to save what was there, and to stop any black mold that might start growing on the walls. 

When Claudia and I got to the Studios Friday afternoon, ready to go On The Air, we opened the outside door, and were immediately driven back by the odor of mold and must. The fans were going full blast, but the mold was growing even faster. We attempted to go in to the studios and start the pre production we have to do to go LIVE On The Air, but after only a couple minutes we saw it was impossible. We put a previously aired program in place, and left the building.

We met the owner at our studios Saturday night. They will begin treating the walls for black mold this week, and will probably be replacing the carpets. This is a MAJOR undertaking, as we will have to move all of our equipment and desks. I don’t even want to BEGIN thinking about what it will take. 

But, we will get through this bump in the road. We may have to take PBNclassic and PBNpure offsite for a few days, broadcasting from a remote location. That will mean we will not be LIVE, but you will continue hearing the Music that touches our hearts so much.

Please pray for Claudia and me as we face this. We will NEVER give up or give in. This is just another shot to make us discouraged, and we will NOT give in to that.

Bill Clinton: U.S. No Longer Dominated By Christians and Jews

WASHINGTON – Former President Bill Clinton has told an Arab-American audience of 1,000 people that the U.S. is no longer just a black-white country, nor a country that is dominated by Christians and a powerful Jewish minority

In a speech to the group on Saturday, Clinton said that given the growing numbers of Muslims, Hindus and other religious groups here, Americans should be mindful of the nation’s changing demographics, which led to the election of Barack Obama as president.

Clinton said by 2050 the U.S. will no longer have a majority of people with European heritage and that in an interdependent world “this is a very positive thing.”

Speaking in a hotel ballroom to the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee during its annual convention, Clinton also praised Obama’s speech in Cairo, Egypt, that was focused on the Arab world.

Clinton told the audience that it’s important that they push government leaders for a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He cited an experience in 1993 when he failed to persuade many Jewish-American and Arab-American business people to invest in the Palestinian areas because violence and bombings had deterred them.

“It just took one more bus bomb or one more rocket or one more incident and then people got scared of losing their money,” he said.

As the U.S. continues to push for peace in the area, “I think it’s really important to give the Palestinian people something to look forward to,” Clinton said to loud applause.

Clinton, who wasn’t paid for his speech, spoke in a wide-ranging 35-minute address that focused on people’s identity in an interdependent world. He said the U.S. can’t rely on its military might in global relations. “It has to begin by people accepting the fact that they can be proud of who they are without despising who someone else is,” he said.
