Why Are We Off The Air
Thursday, November 6th, 2008 at 9:31 amGood for you!!! You have done what Claudia and I have asked you to do when we are Off The Air. We will always try to add a note to the blog to keep you up with what is going on.
I had to get out of bed and go back down to the studios just after 6am, as I heard that PBN was Off The Air. When I got there, I did some tests, then I called Embarq, our internet provider so they could trouble shoot the problem.
After an hour and a half of doing tests (they would give me instructions, and I would input the information into my laptop which was hooked directly into the dsl modem), they determined that the problem was in a little computer card in their equipment at their offices. I was glad they found the problem, as I was fighting falling asleep in my office chair.
The good news is that they found the faulty card, and once fixed we should not have this problem, again (we have had this problem for several weeks, only not this bad). The bad news is that if they don’t have the computer card in stock, they will have to order it, and it could take up to 48 hours to get it in, and get it all fixed.
They all apologized, and I said it was not a problem, as it would be fixed once and for all, soon.
So, that is why we are Off the Air right now. As soon as the card is fixed, the broadcast will automatically come back up, as everything is operating correctly at our studios.
Please keep PBN in your prayers, as well as Claudia and me.
I came home to find Claudia taking care of our Little Producer. I knew Claudia hadn’t had but about 5 hours sleep last night. She needs much more sleep than I do, so I told her to go back to bed for another hour, and I would watch and feed Natalie.
So, as I write this, Claudia is getting some much needed sleep, I’m watching Fox News and Natalie is “reading” her books about “The Little Cougar”.
As I get updates, I will post them here. Claudia and I send our love to each of you.
